The Weathervane quilt block is a classic block that uses half square triangles, squares and connector corners to create a striking design. You can make eight half square triangles at a time with a simple technique, and use them to form the corners of the block. The center of the block is a medium square that can be plain or embroidered, depending on your preference. The rest of the block is filled with dark and light squares that contrast with each other.
